For many, 2025 has already brought enormous upheaval.

It can feel so difficult to gather ourselves towards healing when the world is literally and figuratively burning.

How can we build our capacity to take on the challenges of this year?

I believe the more joy we can experience, the more connection we can build within ourselves and with others, the more resourced we will be to live authentically in a fragmented world.

This offering is a celebration of gender in all of its expansive and creative power to shift our self- and worldview.

Gender Creatives holds this to be true: that gathering together, creating together, feeling and imagining and being together - this is what we need. We also need to be with ourselves - to come to know the unique body and being we are, so that we can bring ourselves to the world with more ease and awareness.

If that feels like it calls to you, please consider joining us for the next iteration of Gender Creatives, a therapeutic arts group that uses the creative process to explore our relationship to gender individually and collectively. No experience needed - we’ll provide the space, the guidance, and the materials - the only thing you need is a desire to find whatever it is you have been looking for within yourself.

A flier for the Gender Creatives art therapy group that provides details including the schedule and cost of the group.

What: A therapeutic group that uses the creative process to explore our relationship to gender individually and collectively. All ability levels are welcome; we will engage in various guided activities with all supplies provided.

Who: Adults of any age (18+) who either (1) already identify as trans, gender nonconforming, or nonbinary who want to further dive into what this identity means to them, or (2) are cisgender or not sure what label they identify with, but are questioning what it means to be the gender they were assigned at birth. The group will be facilitated by Kitt Klassen, LCPC and Olivia Bankard, LGPAT.

Where & When: Originally scheduled for Thursday evenings 6:15-8pm, for 8 weeks starting mid-March - NOW STARTING MID-APRIL, time and day TBD by group availability. In-person at 156 N Lakewood Ave, Baltimore, MD. Precautions will be taken to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne pathogens (masking required, air filtration). The building is wheelchair accessible.

Cost: Tiered fee structure of $50/100/150 per person, per session. (Total cost of $400/800/1200 over the 8-week course of the group). Participants with out-of-network benefits through their health insurance plan may be able to use these benefits to cover the cost of the group. Please discuss this with Kitt at your consultation.

About the cost:

In 8 weeks of creative group therapy, you will pay for the equivalent of only 2 to 6 weeks of full-fee individual therapy with Kitt ($200 per session). You will also get the amazing therapeutic facilitation talents of art therapist Olivia Bankard, who specializes in group therapy.

We want this resource to be accessible to the community. If this offering calls to you but you cannot afford it even at the lowest rate, please reach out. We can discuss a discounted rate based on your circumstances.
